As you may be able to tell from the URL of this site, my name is Rob. I’m a guy in ministry in the Washington, DC area.

For several years this blog has been an outlet for my thoughts. Most of the time I write about music I like, and funny events from every day life. I had been reticent for a long time to use this space about my thoughts and ideas about the Bible and Theology, but I’ve come to the point where I’ll write about that stuff too. Why was I apprehensive about doing so? Because there are so many blogs out there where people are trying to be the next C.S. Lewis or John Piper, and I know I’ll never be either one. So the last thing I want is for people to think I’m being prideful in my writing. Believe me, I know I’m no great writer. But, the Bible and teaching the Bible are my passion, so I do enjoy writing about it.

And politics? I rarely write about politics. When I have written about politics I usually end up wishing I hadn’t. So don’t expect a whole lot from me in that realm.

Really, this blog is a little chronicle of my life. One day I’ll be very thankful that I kept a periodic record of what’s going on with me. So to be honest, this blog is more for me than it is for you. I just let people look in on it :-) But above all of that, I really do try to write for the glory of God, so I pray that goal comes out in my writing.

  1. Rob, I tried to find your e-mail address on your site, but I didn’t see it, so…

My mom just send me some info about the Parkside Pastor’s conference. It’s May 11-13 this year. If you’re ever going to go, this would be the year – it’s going to be Alistair Begg, John Piper, and John Lennox (Kristyn Getty’s dad or grandpa or something). I believe the Gettys will be doing the music, though I’m not positive.

Cleveland’s really nice that time of year… ;)
