Download: Be Easy on You
It is not the negative events in our lives that cause us the most damage but how we think about negative events.
When something bad happens, many times we begin to instantly feel bad about it and our internal dialogue starts replaying the bad thing.
Sometimes we tell ourselves any number of negative things. We call ourselves stupid. We tell ourselves it won’t get any better. We then retrace the bad situation in our minds over and over.
Each time we replay a negative event in our mind, it seems to feel worse.
Be careful what you consistently think about because these thoughts, dreams, desires, fears, and emotions are what is programming your subconscious mind.
If you notice, people who have a tendency to talk and think negatively almost always have lives full of drama and disarray. It’s no coincidence. That is because life was designed this way.
Some call it the law of attraction, some call it magic, and others just call it luck. But I believe it’s something we can actually control if we develop small habits around being easier on ourselves.
I believe this might be what “free will” actually is – the ability to control how you think and feel.
Please be kind to yourself. It pays massive life-changing dividends.
Not everything will go your way and not every day is going to be a good one.
On the days where you feel the most disappointment, remember that you possess many special gifts as a human. One of these gifts is free will.
You have what it takes to shape you life as you desire because you have the power to use free will in order to change your mindset and control your inner-dialogue. At any time.
Free will isn’t just a choice – it’s a birthright.
