As we go throughout our lives we will make and lose many different friends, relationships, and acquaintances. Most of the time we simply shrug our shoulders and say “we grew apart”; we do this even when losing our most valuable friendships. But why?
Many times as our lives shift directions and we move through the course of time we do lose relationships and people close to us, but how many of these could be maintained?
It usually only takes a little bit of effort to invite “lost friends” back into our life. Sometimes, it can be fun to catch up and visit how both of you have grown – even if you did grow apart.
If you continue to let the relationship slip away, nothing is there to prevent it from going away forever. Sometimes life gives us situations we can’t control and we lose those we love. But so many times we simply fail to reach out and maintain the connections of those already in our lives.
Reach out to someone you used to hold close. People can sometimes get lost or need redeemed. This is where you can make a difference in someone’s life and enrich your own.
If we celebrate our growths and differences together, we aren’t that different anymore.
